whats up with ram prices

the ram i got was ddr3 1600 4GB for 90quid which isnt bad at all if you ask me

could be cheaper but some ram is £130 at some times
 
the last two lots of 4gig DDR3 I bought were 2nd hand. One @ £40, one @ £50. Good stuff too, not the cheaper 1066 or 1333 rated chips.

However I've been keeping an eye out over many weeks; the normal 2nd hand price for this stuff hovers between £70 and £90.

with new ram costing £100 to £130, looks like I'm buying 2nd hand for any future builds :p I just don't think RAM is worth that price.
