I'll often come back to the PC and notice that the CPU usage is quite high for a PC that appears to be doing nothing.
As you would I'll start task manager expecting some process to be working away but nothing obvious stands out. Granted there's the odd process utilising 1% or 2% but that's about it but it still reports 40%/50%/60% usage.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I just find strange (perhaps I'm being naive) that the sum total of all the processes running is nowhere near the percentage that it reports the PCU is using?!?1
