what's using up all my disk space ?

I have windows 8 installed on a 70gb drive, just upgraded from XP

the windows folder is under 10gb, the windows.old folder is 30 gb..... so there is still 30gb i can't account for, and tbh I can't really account for most of the 30gb in the windows.old folder either

I had this same problem before I installed windows 8 but there was still 10-15gb free so i didn't bother too much but now there's only 1gb free and i dunno what to delete or where from
any ideas ?

delete the windows.old using disk clean up, pick ''clean system files'' and select the windows.old

will that leave things in my documents alone, there's still odds and ends in therei'd like to keep

also...even if it removed 29gb of that folder, there's still 30gb 'missing' (40 in the 2 windows folders in total) what's it being used for ?

the max size of the recycle bin was set to 7gb so i set it lower but that didn't make nay difference

Install TreeSize Free and it'll show you exactly what's using the disk space, it's usuall winsxs

a haa, good little program, 20gb is in program files, 10gb is taken up by rfactor! used to have loads of mods etc for that, don't even play it now. cheers
