Just curious to know the reasoning behind BMW naming the 1 series M, '1M' rather than 'M1'? Do you prefer it the opposite way around or find it completely unnecessary?
Okay I understand that, but I'm sure there were plenty of M3's before the current m3's and so on. So why did they not get a name change?
M1 is beautiful, saw one up close on the BMW factory tour in the the states.

Pretty sure Mazda hold the rights to the MX# name anyway.surely [something]M is an established naming model after the Z3M, X5M and X6M where putting the M at the front wouldn't work or would sound odd
