Check out the release calendar for the same time last year... and year before... and year before...

March to May is usually the quietest time for games released. With May comes the big Expos like E3 et al where we can drool over videos of games just around the corner. As said above, this is always a good time to catch up on the titles you may have missed the first time around...
 
Just got Empires: TW. I know it's been out a few months already but the good mods are just hitting the virtual shelves and the patches are coming good and strong to fix any bugs with it.

By far the biggest time eater I've played in a long time.
 
Plenty of good games out on the PC atm, that's the beauty of the platform - aside from the odd compatibility issue, you can play a whole range of titles going back years :) With the rise of digitial distribution networks like Steam and GOG it's even better, as tracking down classic games has never been easier.

Agree - I've got several games on the shelf from last year I haven't looked at and loads of archive greats which would keep me going from now until the end of time if no other game ever appeared!

Football Manager 2009 - I hate football and even if I did like it does not seem like the kinda thing I would play

Empire: Total War - Played it... tis okay and I can see why people with time on their hands love it

World Of Warcraft: Wrath Of The Lich King - Do I really need to say anything about this :D

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Love hate relationship but the single player was boring/repetive however the coop option was nice

Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - Hve not played this yet but my friends are not keen and they actually like COH

The Sims 2 Double Deluxe - LOL

Fallout 3 - Played and completed it last year

The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena - Okay so the only new game here

SPORE - Rubbish and last years game again

World of Warcraft Battlechest - /snore


I am a PC gamer and yes they are lots of games to play (Not in that chart tho lol) but I really am feeling an online FPS void atm... need BF3 (or something like it)!
 
Early to middle of last year went through a "lull" if I remember correctly with everyone predicting the end of PC gaming but this year has been a stonking one with even more to come.

Street Fighter 4 on the PC ?!?!?!?!?!?!? - I never thought that would happen to be honest when I first heard the game announced.
 
Yeh sounds like some good games, im really into my FPS tho and as someone else stated there just aint anything around atm. Looking forward to BF3 and Modern Warfare 2.
