Whats with these temps?

PNY 8800 512 GTS

I'm at 53 degrees, 36% auto fan at stock speeds at the moment. They are topping near 69 under load!

With 100% manual fan I can get this down to 49 degrees (stock idle).

I did fancy getting a PC-7 but even then I will still have the same cooling, one 120mm intake and another 120mm as exhaust.

6400 @ 3.2Ghz is fine, bobbing between 38-46 Degrees. Abit telling me system temp is 24 degrees.

Are these temps normal? Its almost as if the fan is not responding to temps.

Anyone else similar?

Those temps are absolutely fine, my GT idles around 54-55, and goes to around 85 underload on auto fan control, even my old x1800 idled around 53, and went to about 75 underload.

Like Loadsa says, those temperatures are fine. Only start to worry if you get lock-ups. My GT also loads with similar temperatures - I just turn the fan speed up.

Those temperatures are pretty good, some people run graphics cards upto 100c!

My poor little 1950pro was hitting 85 degrees whilst playing AoE before i got the AC S1, so 69 is definitely nothing to worry about, is the fan actually audible at 35%?
