Harsh, sounds like a script error. Have you got a save game just before that point or exiting the ship etc which isn't too far back? Probably isn't any other way around it than to retry and hope it doesnt happen again :(

sounds like the problem i had with crysis warhead, i tried to get on to the next part of the story nothing happening not an enemy in sight walking around for ages trying to figure out what it could be. after restarting in the same area a ton of aliens popped up?? i killed them and it finally let me go on. it happened more than once after that so i stopped playing it.

I've had something similar happen like that but it turned out my graphics card drivers where to blame. Work that one out lol. The latest nvidia beta drivers for example really mess with crysis 2, making weapons stick to each other and forming invisible walls in weird places (obviously screwing with game code somehow, which I never thought was possible lol).

Tempermental games tbh

Don't want to start the level again lol it's a bit boring killing those floaty little aliens! I tryed the savegame just before the incident but I guess i'll have to go all the way back of paradise lost - will let you guys know.

I read somewhere that one possible reason is because you didn't pass a checkpoint / objective earlier in the level.
And it has happened to me before (but thankfully was an early checkpoint).

I might be wrong, but I vaguely recollect you need to take that BFG off Prophet.......or collect one from inside the shed nearby.

Steam allows you to do the same.

Right click the game file, properties, and look for something along the lines of the 'verify game files integrity' option on one of the tabs. Steam will then auto repair any corrupt files.

I've just recently gotten past that part of the game. I also pulled down the console and noticed those Flash actionscript errors too, but it didn't seem to have any effect on the game.

Got it working, there was something wrong with the savedgames. No idea what but I loaded the last checkpoint from core and went through to finish paradise lost. I couldn't just load the first checkpoint from paradise lost or it would crash.
