The most perplexing thing here is why a supposedly posh (600k :o:rolleyes:) house on a posh private road has a lawn covered in Peugoet 205's?

That would put me off straight away.

So you trespass in the middle of the night and then wonder why someone chases after you?

I think you should be asking what's wrong with you..

Is the OP not the same guy who has had more fights than hot dinners. If thus us the case why not just do the guy over when he tried to intimidate you.

He sounds a right one tbh.

£600k isn't posh. Not round here anyway. £250k gets you a 3 bed council terrace. £600k you get the garden and garage thrown in.

Learn to stand and bang, and I'm not talking about your pathetic kung fu palm strikes, that way this sort of thing isn't a problem?

Go back and ask him what's up.

600K gets you a pretty nice house, almost anywhere in Britain. He made it sound like it was fairly good seen at is a private road and all. I would not buy a house worth 600K if the neighbour kept a load of 205's on his front lawn.

Depends on your definition of posh though I suppose.

your point about road tax is rubbish because i doubt that estates roads are paid for by the government. it will be the residents (that guy) who pay for the roads if its anything like the similar estates around here.

Doesn't give the guy a right to act like a feral chimp though does it? If he was worried they were ne'er-do-wells, he could've called the police there and then or indeed, spoken to them when he had the opportunity. Instead he took it upon himself as an excuse to go Rambo. OP, you should've slammed on your breaks and had the idiot go into the back of you and ruin his car insurance.

Except if it was indeed a private road my insurance would be void lol ?

I didnt get out as there were too many unknowns. he could have had a pistol for all i know, and i never go looking for trouble it just comes to me.

What about at Marsh Mills? That's not private by any stretch!

You should have offered to mow his lawn. :D

Seriously though, that guy was way out of line. You weren't breaking any laws, no matter how paper thin, so no worries.

BTW my mate told the police where we were and that we were aware it may or may not be a private road, they just chuckled and said we were doing nothing wrong, and we definetly werent when he chased us all the way up longbridge road.

My mate said they sounded like they knew who he was when he gave them the plate, so maybe this is a regular occurance ?
