hahaha! made a thread for me, i'm touched. Thanks siumatfung, nah it's just everything i touch right now breaks, just had a hard drive die on me, coincidentally the one with my OS on, still not worked out why my screen blurs in games and my cars broke

Well if you guys fancy working out my problems go for it here come the details.
First off hard drive stopped working it's a seagate 7200.11 need i say more really. However i have no leg to stand on when it comes to sending it back as part of my old dell system so can't send it back there.
As for the screen blur problem i mentioned I've been working on it for a while. basically whilst in busy moments of a game the screen will produce a strange blurry line across it. Strangely it does it in opening cinematics too, the crysis one and ETW ones are quite bad for it. At first i thought ok graphics card issue or drivers, tried numerous drivers, to no avail, then thought ok maybe graphics card is broken, furmark brings up nothing, no artifacts in ati tool and when i screenshot games they don't show the blur. This has led me to believe it is a screen issue and after some searching found my screen (dell e207wfp) to be rather mediocore when it comes to gaming. I have 2 of these screens as it's handy for uni work and i wanted them matching but seem i made a mistake there.
As for the car well, not sure this is the right place on the forum to put my car problems but ahhh well. In short after warming up it will stutter then stall constantly. we've so far got it down as an electronics problem as we can make it stall by flicking the headlights on and off. Not helped by the fact my step dads mate who is helping fix this who is a jaguar mechanic is rather unreliable.
So yea not a good past few weeks.
Oh and before i forget i need to get my bro a birthday present and im thinkin gaming mouse, any suggestions? he's got a red theme going on with his scout case so might be worth considering.

Can't help with any of the problems
but would be very interested in the problem with the sunbeam. Compatibility issue?Hard drives die, I'm pretty certain my samsung f1 is on the way out. Keeps being dropped from a raid, reformats to the wrong size etc. Not given up hope yet though, I wish you luck getting the data off yours

Well RJC warned me the fitting system on the sunbeam may clash with motherboards with a big northbridge heatsink, which mine has but i didn't know this until i had already ordered, so i told ocuk to hold my order until they could confirm the sunbeam would fit my mobo. They said it would so i told em to send it. Couple days later it all turned up. went to put the cooler on and guess what it didn't fit the way it was supposed to, had to rotate it 90 degrees to get it to fit on. Luckily for me this isnt an issue as i have 2 top exhaust fans too. Did rather annoy me tho as i did try the right way with it exhausting out the back first only to find it didn't fit.

Electrics on the car causing it to stall, possible alternator problem? My old mini would cut out and a new one fixed my problem.

wow this thread should be called skips world hehe but erm yeh the blur unlucky guess u would have never guessed it however it does give u an excuse to upgrade to 2 new mons at xmas
