Whats wrong with the internet?!

Ah no - just reset my connection and all appears to have gone fine.

Thanks very much - can I leave those DNS settings in there? Or is this just a temporary fix? :)
 
You can leave them mate will be fine. Just uses someone elses DNS settings instead of O2/Be*'s

Try going back to automatic detect in a few weeks/days and check the speeds if not as good just swap back.
 
Another o2 user who fixed it with OpenDNS - cheers for that. Hopefully they'll get it sorted soon, there have been quite a few complaints about poor performance at peak times over the past week or so.
 
I am on O2 and having major issues with most websites. Just added the OpenDNS settings above but it hasn't made a difference :(

EDIT: Nevermind, restarted my laptop and it is all working now. Thank god for OpenDNS. It does make you think though, if you have someone who doesn't know about these things on O2 they will be getting a useless service and not know how to fix it. It really annoys me :(

Blimey! That works a treat. The last couple of evenings I've had dire connectivity to websites, and all day Sunday's also been awful... except for visiting this site most of the time. Adding those two addresses has turned my connection from zero to hero again!
