What's wrong with this AVI?

I've downloaded some AVI's and they will only play in Media Player Classic that comes with Quicktime Alternaive or DivX Player v6. They won't play in Winamp or WMP. Anyone know what could be wrong with the files?

Sounds like a Codec issue.

Download GSpot and use it to find out the codec needed, then either install it or reinstall it (if you already have it).

Done. I got GSpot v2.7 and it says codecs are installed but in the container box it highlights a compatibility note and says file has 'google data chunk'. Is this what will be causing the issues then?

vlc is a bit of a shotgun approach imo

media player classic is a far cleaner and leaner player, if you press Ctrl + 0, you can remove the title bars, so its nice and slim :)
