Just got my system set up with my new Crucial 64gb SSD and am a bit concerned with the performance?

45-53 second boots into Windows, up from about 15-23 seconds on my old 16mb 7,200 500gb Seagate hard drive? Tried using HD-Tune to check it and whilst there are no errors it is reporting min speed of 100Mb/s and max speeds of 155Mb/s :(

I'm sure these are meant to be 200 min and 250 max??

Is this something stupid I'm doing or a faulty SSD??

Which version of windows are you using. Did you do a fresh install? Are you running the latest chipset drivers for your motherboard?

The above questions will provide info for someone to help a bit further as I don't have and SSD myself.

What model of the Crucial HDD did you get, there are two. One with a max of 120mb the other 220,b if i recall correctly.

Though they should still be loan faster than that. My old OCZ solid boots in 30 or so seconds.

What tweaks to the OS have you made?
