Whats you monthly internet usage?

How the hell can people possibly download so much?

I probably get through 5Gb a month, at the most. The most bandwidth-hungry thing I use is probably iPlayer, and even that's only quite rarely...

Mine varies from month to month.

That's just my giganews stats. Other browsing / usage and my housemates doing any downloading are on top of that, but most likely no more than another 200gb on top of that per month.

Mines around 250mb on my iPhone alone :D

Thats only because im bored in transit and i rarely see the laptop at home and im away at my mates all weekend so :D

All adds up..

I use to be a Heavy Downloader but calm down now, Imo nothing else to download these days got it all ;)

Now i only use the net for surfing the few odd downloads here and there. Mainly Gaming :) So i'll say about 20GB a month

150-200GB I think, I don't have a tracker, just going on the amount of tv series I watch.

Having a 720p tv now doesn't help matters, haha

Mines fairly high this month but I've never seen >100GB/month and tbh I can't really understand why anyone needs to download more than that sort of figure as surely there's not enough hours in the day to watch/listen that much video/music.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of those with >100GB/month download 'just because its there' and don't watch half of it or are downloading for others to watch (at a price)

I watch shows on my phone during the hour long journey home from work.

It's dead time, and as I can't read books on public transport (motion sickness when focussing on text), it's a great way for me to catch up on shows without them cutting into my social life :)

As a result, I can go through 2 half hour or 1 hour long show each working day.

I was beginning to wonder.

Our usage lately has been just over 4Gb per month and that's because the GF has been sitting at home, bed ridden, and browsing/on iPlayer as pretty much her only entertainment all day. Normally we're about 1-2Gb per month.

Mine works out to about 5gb a day...ish....if I'm downloading whatever then obviously it's a lot higher.

Just on a standard BT unlimited package....when I moved in my flatmate only had a 5gb cap.....3 guesses who fronted the 80 quid bill :o

Just because you don't do something doesn't mean it is wrong. For example, say someone were to download something in HD (for example, a film), this could easily be 10GB+.

Can't check as I'm at work and I restrict access to my router's config to local users only, but it wasn't ever very much (I used to have the capped Giganews package cause I was always hitting about 15GB a month).

However, since getting a nice new HDTV I have had to upgrade to the unlimited Giganews package. Luckily for me, though, my 20Mb cable connection can handle it. VM isn't cheap, so I'm making the most out of it ;)
