Whats Your BMI?

"For someone weighing 77 kg who is 177 cm tall:
You have a Body Mass Index of 24.57 . This means that you fall into the normal range."

But im awfully unfit when it comes to physical exercise, too many years of no sports and gaming as a replacement :(

I think this BMI is rubbish! I carry my weight quite well all things considered even though I know I need to shift some. But to you guys who are 6ft+ and with a BMI of 20+ do not worry yourself.
It's a fixed scale, that's why BMI in general is rubbish, there is a variation you can apply dependant on your build basically whether your torso goes \/, || or /\ this scale will put everyone on the middle one, however if you're the first shape the boundaries get moved higher, or the last they get moved lower.

Last time I was this weight (maybe a little bit less) I had a body fat test (both with an electric reader and calipers) and came back as bang in the middle of normal despite my BMI reading overweight

110kg 174cm 37.4, all measured by my GP.

Down from 40-ish, not doing so well about doing something about it, but certainly haven't given up.

For someone weighing 112 kg who is 189 cm tall:

You have a Body Mass Index of 31.35 . This means that you fall into the obese range.

I am a bit chubby, but I am by no means obese.

When I was 95-100Kg (~15st) I was probably at my best, and according to that calc i'd still be classed as overweight, and I know for a fact that when I was ~13 I looked terribly thin, no way i'd ever go that low again.

15st would deffo be my ideal weight.

I just made myself feel reasonably good about last year....

I started off last year at according to that:
For someone weighing 98 kg who is 182 cm tall: You have a Body Mass Index of 29.58 . This means that you fall into the overweight

And now..
For someone weighing 76 kg who is 182 cm tall: You have a Body Mass Index of 22.94 . This means that you fall into the normal range.

:D

38.34 which is "Obese" and clearly proves the BMI is a waste of time as I'm in the military and very fit, I just happen to be built like a brick outhouse :D

You may be very fit, but "being built like a brick outhouse" will still be putting excess strain on your heart - which is where BMI can be a useful indicator.

Mine's 21.6 after the christmas period, but normally 20.9.
