Mine was a giant pile in the corner of the room on top of a table but now I've managed to sell some of the ones I'll never play again it's a little more manageable. I still should get some decent shelving though - your setup looks much nicer

@op nice organization, wish i had the motivation to do that
My mate has been forced to move house and so has had to got through his collection and sell what he doesnt need, and then move the other 20 billion boardgames and miniatures games he has to his new house. Glad i don't have to do it as he has A LOT of games and even though he is moving.....has still gone and ordered a dwarf kings of war army
There's a chess set and 10th Anniversary Carcassonne on top because both are awkward shapes and don't fit on the shelves.
I have two shelves of X-Wing Miniatures and Star Trek: Attack Wing miniatures on the other side of the room on display, the boxes are in the shelf above with the cards and tokens and other bits are in Plano-style boxes behind Forbidden Island. I have some KR Multicase storage boxes coming soon for them!
My family have just fallen on to this slippery slope, although it may take a while to gain any momentum. My daughter and I have started playing some games with my brother and she is now hooked and my wife has shown some interest in games to now. Where possible my son joins in too. So far our modest collection is looking like this:
D&D The Fantasy Adventure Board Game (liberated from my brother but we can't find the Eternal Winter Expansion adventure book any where despite having everything else)
Zombicide (currently waiting for stock to come in after we changed a pre-order that has been constantly slipping back)
Forbidden Island (should arrive tomorrow)
Zombie Dice (bought by my daughter)
Get Bit (also bought by my daughter)
We have been playing Castle Ravenloft and X-Wing with my brother and really enjoy them, so I may pick up the three AD&D games myself sometime. If the forth coming dragon based game that uses the X-wing system is Dragonlance based I will be powerless to resist.
