What's your default keyboard hand positions?

Just noticed the other day that I'm constantly in FPS mode.

Pinky on shift, thumb on space then AS and D.

It seems I'm always ready to sprint forward and jump at any time even when writing in Word.

Is anyone else the same of have different default positions? I'm curious now XD

Yup. It will be death by RSI before he gets to 40.

My hands just rest on the keyboard in a 'normal' position, occasionally raising a finger to pick my nose or lower a hand to scratch my balls.

Define normal position?

Judging by number of people who are the same as me... your not the normal one

CTRL is the optimum key for crouching - what do you use then?

I'm the same, whenever I sit at a PC I default to boxing FPS stance

For me it depends on the game, if it's single player I will use C, but if it's multiplayer I will use CTRL, as I use hold to crouch in multiplayer.

I never realised but it seems my default mode is FPS... Looks like the legacy of my PC gaming years remains subtly in my keyboard placement!

That's why I made this thread, I was just browsing the internet looked down and noticed I'm ready to sprint and jump

I wish we had a sticky linking to the most entertaining threads of the year, voted in by poll for slow days like this.

Really this should be in the peripherals section imo but its been a pretty desperate day in GD and when there isn't a guy asking 'how to life?' or whether he should purchase £450 moisturiser for himself #nohomo, we take what we can get.

As in subconsciously.
