What's your general MMO hub? Is it worth having one?

In my efforts to find a decent new MMO to sink my teeth into (and to have something to do on a low budget of course) I find myself thinking that there's no decent hub for general ratings, information, news about new, decent mmo's. Is this just me? I know most of you will think you should try them yourself, but with limited access to the game through demos/trials you can't really decide on the MMO as a whole package. What sites do you guys use to judge MMOs in general? I understand it's difficult to get a true rating, afterall it's largely opinion, but still through endless searching nearly all sites relating to MMOs generally have completely skewed and unrealistic ratings and "popularity" listings, listing freebie MMOs that have obviously used incentives or bots to get their rating up on said site, making the ratings for that site pointless. I often find myself going back to MMORPG.com, which is only slightly more realistic and informative and often finding myself just clicking on a game, looking at the hype section and see one guy saying "omg this is the best mmo I've ever played" then some other saying "Actually the end game is lacking and theres no customer service" this leaves you non the wiser beyond playing the entire game yourself. So what hubs do you guys use? With so many varied MMOs out there and a rapidly increasing population in them you'd think there'd be AAA standard reviewing sites, with thought out rating methods. Also it'd be nice to see a site that constantly updates said ratings and reviews, because unlike non-MMOs, MMOs require decent population, GMs, customer service, updates etc, and I rarely see any reviews that take this onboard as they change through the years.

I used to use www.massively.com a lot, but the longer you read it, the more obvious it becomes that some of the 'reviews' are really blatant paid-for advertisements.

When you see an article that's nothing more than a glowing description of the latest items in a cash shop, it's time to move on :)

Unfortunately I haven't found anywhere else yet that's quite as comprehensive.

I listen to the massively podcast but rarely look at the site. I look at various other MMOs blogs. They are slight biased though, ie the massively podcast host are big Guild Wars fans.

www.mmohut.com sounds like it will be perfect for you.

They concentrate on the free to play MMO's, simply goto their list, sort by rating and have a look through the videos and reviews they have of said game. Some titles of real quality to be tried out there, played Forsake World for a short bit, it's a good game but It didn't last long for me and I put that purely down to MMO's don't hold my interest too much anymore.

It's really good for free games, although I wasn't suggesting I only wanted free mmos. When I mentioned low budget I meant in general mmo subscriptions are a cheap monthly hobby :P. The video reviews by them are really good, even though theyre usually 15 minutes because of youtube.

Could anyone recommend me a free mmorpg. Been looking to get into one to get better and more read in prep for guild wars2.

Sorry to steal thread op. Just though this may be a good thread to post it in.
