I have noticed that some people either don't even bother playing campaigns for things like CoD or if they do they skip through every cut scene.
I just completed ratchet and clank and the story is great. Its not complex and I don't think there was a single plot twist but it made the game better. My missus had a play and just couldn't be bothered to watch them. She wanted to skip through and get on with the game.
She is the same with a lot of films. If it doesn't grip her in the first 5 minutes she is on her phone and basically just 'listens' to the film. Afterwards she is quite have to have a strong opinion on whether the film was good or not which I find frustrating.
Anyway, back to the question. Do you make sure that you immerse yourself in the game and everything the developer has tried to do with it or do you just want to get in there and get stuff done? Almost all of my favourite games and movies have a great plot, storyline or theme to them and I enjoy that part of it.
What kind of gamer are you guys?
