What's your minimum car spec?

Do you also have a 'steering wheel' and 'some seats' on your minimum spec list too? :D

I'm sure some poverty spec ecoboxes don't have central locking. Maybe. :p

doesn't have remote central locking, but can't confirm whether it has central locking via the key.

Unless things have changed from 2013:

The windows also operate manually, and the lack of central locking wouldn’t be an issue if you could push the lock down on the rear doors when they’re open – instead you have to shut the door and then lock it from the inside.

You can get it (with other things) for £600 extra though.

I sort of miss having manual locking. It was always a laugh explaining to everyone that they need to lock their own doors.

They just couldn't comprehend it. It seemed mad to them :p

What's this hill start nonesense? If you have an automatic transmission, the car is held on hills until you press the accelerator?

You can get the feature on both automatics (which stops creep), and on manuals (which stops roll back on hills).

So in this situation hill hold will mean not having to apply the handbrake or hold your foot on the foot brake continuously, sounds like a winner to me.

Just bought a new car, so this is somewhat recent for me.

Cruise Control
Decent Seats W lumbar support
Bluetooth Audio
50+mpg
Cheap Tax
A/C
Reasonable space in the back...

Ended up going with a cheap i30, so the only thing I'm loosing on is power (10s 0-62)

I would prefer my car not to have central locking because I don't trust it. I check all my doors.

Would you also prefer your car to have a crank handle, because you don't trust that new-age electricity to start your car?

Perhaps sir would like a brass horn whilst he's at it?
