I have been playing F1 loads lately on both PS3 and PSP - actually, I haven't been this addicted to an F1 game since Geoff Crammonds F1GP on PC. I have just got to Monaco and find that on the PSP version it's incredibly frustrating because for some reason if you even mount a kerb it gives you a corner cutting penalty...!!! The PS3 version of this track though is sublime and with a bit of practice I was posting decent lap times and securing pole easy enough and then in the race pulling out a decent lead, unfortunately the slightest mistake and it was all over... so I cheated a bit and reloaded to try again... and again... and again... and again... aaaarrrggghhh!!!!!

Sorry - just needed to vent my frustration. :p

So which are your most frustrating tracks and which do you love the best?

Only got this on the Ps3 and without a dout its got to be Monaco i have never finished a race on this track without going into a wall :/

The pit lane on the China track threw me the first time, I just flew right into a wall and right out of the race.
I really enjoy racing Monaco, as it can be a hell of a lot more challenging.

Yeah I love monaco too, it's a fantastic track to race on... just not forgiving in the slightest.

Incidentally, what's your best lap time on Monaco... just so I can see how I stand? Mine's about 1:17:??

ohh i wish ppl would not post about F1 on the ps3 cos i love F1 and im so tempted to buy a PS3 for the title.

but on a serious note what is it like compared too GP4 modded on the pc ?

sorry to go off topic but.......

oh dear, :( compared to GP4/rfactor it plays more like Need 4 speed carbon lol.
Not a sim in any sort of way. Looks fantasic though, and plays nice if you want an arcade f1 game. I was disappointed

I love the GP series on the PC and never really liked the console F1 games as they were too arcadey, but I have to admit I love this game. I would say it's the best F1 game I have played :)

You have very similar driving aids as in the F1GP series, which you can turn off to add extra realism + the weather is really good too and adds an added dimention to the gameplay. My last race was at silverstone and it started to rain two laps from the end - took a bit of effort to keep it on the track to take the flag I can tell you.

Can I ask what difficulty level you had it on?
Did you play the career mode?
Did you turn off ALL the driving aids etc?

I have never played rfactor, but played all the GP series a fair bit and I would say that, with all the driving aids turned off, it's a fair comparison.

Haven't really played it much, but every-time i do play it i seem to race on the Bahrain track a lot!

The Bahrain track rocks!

Gonna go play it now actually!
