Poll: What's your MPG?

Currently showing 62.6 for the last 700 miles, usually higher (around late 60's) but the M62 roadworks in yorkshire are killing my mpg for usual commute with stop/start congestion. Best has been 74 on a m'way trip to Gatwick and back from Leeds.

Question: is it inevitable that we will all be driving diesels in the next 5-10 years?

Or hybrid, my Prius gets 55ish on short runs and almost 60 on long, not many diesels could beat the short run (2 to 5 mile) trips

22 - porsche cayman S - daily commute about 15 miles with mix of national and 30 roads, with traffic.

I can get 52/53 on a motorway run but by the time I've emptied a tank with a mix of driving it's down to 47/48.

As I am doing a fair amount of motorway lately I am getting 35mpg in the DC2. As soon as I am on country road then it becomes low 20's, if not lower depending on my driving.

Doing a A road 30 miles to and from work every week day, with a bit of the other stuff at the weekends and evenings. On the work run I do put the cruise on and run at 66, there is just no point going faster on the A23, the weekends I tend to clear out the dust

37mpg according to what's on the dash - it's a bit hard to drive fast in a 1.2 punto anyway

3.0i Z4 I'm normally hitting around 28-29MPG for the day to day

If I'm traveling up to the parents sitting on the A339 /A34 at 60 - 70 I can get nearly 40MPG hehehe (only managed once as it puuuuurs to nicely to not hear!)

Other than that if I'm hammering it then I don't tend to look put it this way sometimes i get confused and think the needle is the second hand on a clock

Usually get around 30mpg from my 2002 Fiesta 1.25 - Not great I know, but then that's all local city driving, plus I drive with a heavy foot On motorway or long A-road runs I get get up to about 40mpg.

It's my first car, so I didn't buy it with fuel economy in mind.

Currently getting 28.4 MPG in my ST220.

I am getting between 47-48 mpg and that is 100% town driving and short journeys.
The best on the motorway is between 55-58 mpg
