So whilst the economy savings are impressive it's a bit like walking into a 'Spec me a hotel in New York' thread bragging about how it only cost you a fiver to sleep on somebodies couch

Usually 38-39mpg, consisting of 1 motorway commute a week and the rest is short trips and town driving.

Usually around 22mpg to the tank but that's all around the city centre. Saying that a tank has lasted me about 4months now 8) Only use it occasionally at lunch as it's parked up in works carpark.

Just grabbing an old thread for this as it's not worth a new one.

Saw this on my dashboardabout a mile or so from the petrol station the other day after trip computer reset.

- that's 30mph, on the flat no traffic (so not exacly an achievement) but never seen 3 figures before. It was reading about 130 about a minute before I got to the destination.

Shame I couldn't keep it up. 50 or so miles later, and I'm on 48mpg, which is about bang on average. Best I've ever done for a full tank is 53 (calculated not computer).

It's totally meaningless then isnt it? Mine displays 60-70mpg if I do the same thing, its an equally worthless figure.
