Whats your routine when you FIRST get to work

What is your routine from when you enter the grounds of your place of work to actually starting work?
For me I walk through a swipe card type entrance and walk through the hospital to my ward.
Once on the promptly sling my bag under a chair by nurses station flop onto said chair then listen to handover of the patients. After handover depending on what shift I am on I either see if the Nurse in charge wants anything or I start setting a trolley up with things to wash patients THEN my shift starts

Some people have to I try to go to work in one set of shoes and change into work pair at work.

As a nurse I am actually supposed to change my shoes at work.
