Whats your view on 1080p vs 4K regards camcorders?

Is this anything to get excited about?.... Am thinking of saving for that new 2k Sony, but thinking maybe i should just buy a top 1080p as all my displays are 1080p at the minute.

Just out of interest what is an amazing and sharp 1080p camcorder for under £1200, happy to buy used?

With that budget might as well get a Lumix GH4 system?

(Hybrid)!Think with modular add on gh4 outputs 10 bit 4.2.2 4k ,if you need the 4k I've got a gh3 and the 1080 is good be even better on gh4 ,you can pretty sure that gh4 will be better than most camcorders and probably the pro ones as well .?you have to spend big to match the specs and looks a good stills camera as well 12fps large buffers 40 raw shots 7.5 continuous shooting ,ergonomics are perfect like the gh3 ,and with the new nocticron lens which is not cheap but from reviews and such looks a real winner .if they sort the evf issues of its predecessor I'm looking at my next camera.
