Meta have finally released a native WhatsApp iPad app.

Been out for a while now, at least a couple of weeks anyway.

Took them way too long, forcing people to use that stupid webchat version is a joke too.

Can't believe how long this took. I bought my last iPad about 4 years ago and I think they were saying there was a BETA for it around then. Surely with a MacOS app all they had to do was strip out some of the functionality, port it over and then there we go?

Anyway, don't have an iPad anymore so no need for it. But glad it's out there.

It took them a fair while to produce a native desktop app rather than the clunky Electron 'WhatsApp Web' wrapper app they had before and no doubt the iPadOS app was delayed because of that.

But it works and it's handy to have although i never had issue with using 'WhatsApp Web' as a PWA app.

Took them so long that I dont even care about it now, there are plenty of other ways to communicate
