Wheel Alignment spec sheet - C43 Mercedes

Hi,

I'm hoping somebody can decipher this Wheel Alignment spec sheet I got at the weekend :



I noticed one of the front tyres on my 2017 C43 was wearing a little bit unevenly but the car was steering straight fine. I went in and got the alignment done, left the place then discovered that the car tracked to the left. I took the car back and let them know and before I knew and without asking permission then took the car for a drive. I wasn't impressed with that but within 5 minutes of them returning the car was done.

It now drives straight as expected but I'm wondering in the attached spec sheet looks normal ?

Thanks for the reply Bear, judging from it I guess they did a poor job ?!

The car feels fine, I just don't want uneven tyre wear to cost me money. I'm going to contact them and see what they say.

That's the only sheet they gave me

I just emailed them and will see what they say about the Out of Spec measurements, I'll report back with their reply

Here was my email to the tyre shop :

Please find attached the spec sheet I was given once the ‘correction’ was made. If I am reading it correctly it appears that some parameters are out of spec :

FRONT AXLE

Half Toe : Spec is +1.4mm with 0.6mm Tolerance

The Final Value is +0.5mm – is this out of Spec ?

REAR AXLE

Total Toe : Spec is +1.9mm with 0.9mm Tolerance

The Final Value is +0.2 mm – is this out of Spec ?

Camber : Spec is -01.59 with 00.30 Tolerance

The Final Value LH -02.24 & RH -01.35 – is LH out of Spec ?

Please let me know if I am reading the sheet incorrectly ?

You are reading the print out correctly. However starting with the front, due to your camber being on the lower side of the factory specs

You would then lessen the toe to help with tyre life of the car. If your car was running the -1.5 degree of camber you would then run the toe @ 1-1.5 positive toe. Your vehicle also had some outside edge wear which is caused by the front originally being at 2.8mm total toe. Lowering this figure with the camber you have will help the tyre life. Which is what we have done.

As for the back. The camber is out on the left hand side this can cause a tracking problem as you made us aware of when you came in.

However with the factory adjustments on the car you are limited to the amount you can Adjust with the camber out by a full degree you would need an after market camber adjustment to bring this figure down.

XXX XXXXXXX, which is a European specialist can supply and fit this part for around $650.00. this would be an aftermarket centric bolt that should allow to get the camber on the left hand rear a lot lower. Unless there is a problem with the car which does not look to be the case as there is no damage to any arms underneath the car.
