Wheel users what Desks do you have?

Hi Guys,

Slightly random thread for this forum, but I need some gaming related help. Ive got a G25 wheel but looking to redecorate and replacing my current desk.

I was hoping to get a glass desk but I just think thats too dangerous considering the wheel clamps (also I think the desk has to be a certain thickness).

So anyway would you mind just giving me an idea what you have and how you have found it with your wheel - links, pics and opinions would be great...

Ikea Galant desk here, with the height adjustable T shaped legs and computer holder thingy. Sorry, no pics available as I am at work.

It's a pretty big desk, easily enough room for the G25 with the keyboard behind it, then monitor. Loads of space to the left and right for the shifter unit as well.

Resurrecting this as I never got a new desk in the end

I have a glass desk and the G25 fits fine on it, although I have to clamp it up tightly to stop it moving around. Also, the shifter clamps don't close far enough, but nothing a small block of wood doesn't sort out.

is this not the perfect chance to get a full racing setup going ??

ie racing seat and cage to mount wheel/pedals and gearstick on ???

Hehe I wish, dont think Ive got room for it where my PC is - though as Im going to be adding a PS3 soon I could 'share' the cost.

Probably more likely to go for that foldable one that was shown on these forums - though for £100 its a bit expensive for steel rods...
