Wheel vs controller

I've been playing Forzza and PGR4 of late against the chaps at work and every one of them keeps telling me to ditch the wheel and just use the controller.

I've got on really well with the wheel (official xbox jobbie) and actually struggle with the controller now. Does anyone else find this??

the only real issue i have with the wheel is that it took a small amount of time to setup and get comfortable. However, i've now converted an old laptop stand and set up the wheel to the exact height and the pedals to the exact distance. Now all I have to do is drag the "unit" from behid the sofa plug in the power and off I go
