i have just picked up one of THESE second hand as a christmas pressy to myself

im fed up of my 5d/5d2 + lenses being kept loosh(ish) in my lowepro bag and thought it was about time to get something a bit sturdier - especially with my enquisitive 2 year old whos into everything at the moment. im also much happier travelling with my kit in a hard case. will still keep my bag for hiking days etc tho.

anyone have experience of storm cases since peli took over? from my reading i had no worries buying but always good to hear other people experiences. i have a new set of foam included in mine. anyone have any opinion regarding seperators vs foam?

not of storm but my peli 1560 is an excellent bit of kit.

foam holds kit more secure but takes up more room and can be more of a pain to rearrange. so swings and roundabouts.

I specced up a Peli case that i want the other week, using dividers, came to £275 !

ouch! i cant make my mind up about foam or dividers yet. think i will give the foam a try.
i only got mine as it was reasonbly priced secondhand. i dont think i could stomach £275.

the way i think of it, im holding 3-4k of camera gear - surely it is logical to hold it as safely as possible!

have you looked at or considered the peli storm cases raymond? from my reading they are highly thought of and since peli bought out storm, they have introduced dividers and the lid organisers. im tempted with a lid organiser but they too arent cheap.
