I’ve never really enjoyed racing games, but I think that’s because I’ve always played them with the controller. I have memories of really enjoying a game I forgot around 1999 with the Microsoft FFB wheel at my friends.

So then I thought why not open up this genre again, I’ve never had a wheel before, plus I have VR so that could be cool.

I don’t really know what is what though, I know Moza are quite a good make based on their flight sim stuff. I don’t understand the different bases though, is it just stronger ffb?

I will not be getting any kind of rig, this will be used at a desk. I do not want something average that I’ll want to replace in a month if I get into it.

Requirements are:

FFB
Ideally metal pedals, maybe one with clutch too but not essential. Build quality more important.
A round wheel, not the weird shaped ones but if it supports changing wheels that would be cool.
Has, or has option to have a gear stick but I appreciate that may not be practical given my desk setup.
Preferably all from the same make as it will make life easier config wise.

Oh and if there’s wheel can be adjusted that would be good too. Please also highlight any mounting considerations I may not be aware of.

Budget up to £600 for now but if there’s a compelling argument for a bit more can be stretched.

I wasn’t aware about foldable rigs. I was initially excited about it but then I thought about where everything is and I’m not sure.

Though I guess if being used with VR (not exclusively though) it wouldn’t matter as that’s wireless, would just be routing cables to the pc that might be a faff, though I do have a powered USB hub now.

R5 bundle looks fine, though I wasn't prepared for the requirement of a folding cockpit etc, I thought I'd just be clamping to my desk and off I went lol.
