When are custom 7970's coming out?

Just wondering if any date is around for custom 7970's and what ones confirmed? I was debating getting xfx's double dissipation , but might wait if there's a better option out really soon

Within a month I believe. The 7950 already has a good custom cooler out

well ive done a lot of looking on the net and apparently asus released theres in america and it sold out straight away, hopefully it means it will be out here very very soon

HD7970-DC2T-3GD5, thats the custom cards serial number for anyone interested

hopefully its the second (after the XFX DD) of many more to come

Anyone got any more info on the likes of the Asus or gigabytes release, the waiting is killing me , I wish they wouldn't release them in the USA first, really not fair

I know what you mean.

However in the last few days i've realised teh 7970 is way over priced, considering you only get something like 15% maybe performance boost from 580. So in order to get a real significant boost in performance you MUST overclock, surely this is not how it should be. You should expect at least a large significant improvement from previous gen to current gen especially priced well over the current gens best gfx card. I'd say bang for buck the 7970 sux.

The 7950 however is around the 580 price mark and does beat it by a bit and therefore more value...
