when are the good wii games due?

looked on [A competitor] when i bought my wii and i saw super smash and mario party due for release 30th march, this being like half way through febuary, so i figured ok i buy my wii now, play sports for a while and ponce around on zelda, then after a bit i get 2 great games coming out. Looked last week and i saw supersmash was now 30th june, but mario party was still march so i was ok, but check again today and now mario party is the same! So i am now stuck with a wii with 2 games (one which is 1 player so doesn't really count) to last until end of june and maybe further if they get pushed back again.

Anyone know whats the deal with these and when they are coming out? and also if any other games that are the great nintendo games coming out?

I love my wii, but was thinking about selling it as there are 0 games out that interest me atm.
I wanted it to start off with just for wii sprots but imo this has to be the worst console launch as far as good games are concerned.

nintendo have never been one for rushing there games out and making mistakes,

you know its gonna be worth the wait when they arrive.

Super Mario Galaxy - 01/06 (Will definitely slip!)

Don't listen to any shops with dates! All we know is that it will be out before the end of the year, so until launch date is confirmed by Nintendo don't rely on shop websites!

I (stupidly) cancelled my Wii pre-order when this was pushed back as where I had preordered they had it saying due to launch on the same day as the Wii itself.

SMG is the only Wii game i'm waiting for.... (just like when I bought a GC when Super Mario Sunshine was released) ... but i'm a bit worried it's going to be a very linear style of game.

This will probably get announced at E3 this year, just to hype up the Wii a bit more after the release of Galaxy, Metroid and Smash Brothers.


The next big 1st party game is Super Paper Mario (looks awesome) that is coming out end of April or something. Mario Strikers shouldn't be that much longer either.

As for good games.... what about Sonic or SSX Blur or the Godfarther?

Pretty much all the ones listed are merely the latest version o old games, like, the latest maio, The latest monkey ball, the latest mariokart...

it's the same with all the consoles, so many sequels, which lets face it basically just rehashes with slightly different stories and slightly prettier graphics.

Have game designers totally given on coming up with new ideas for games???
