I was wondering when the next crop of nvida and ati cards are coming out.Also will the next crop of cards be late directx 9 champs or willl they be srtically dx10

A spy told me vista is due march 31st 2007 , along with dx10. One should wait for dx10 cards to tested first, not just jump in.

New Nvidia cards are DX10 compliant and are due sometime in September.
New ATI cards are enhanced x1900's so are not DX10 compliant and are due around the same time as the Nvidia cards or maybe slightly earlier.

ATI said they'd have DX10 parts out for Vista launch iirc.

I read that the R580+ is just a rehash of the current x1900, the R600 is the DX10 chip.

The new nVidia chip is DX10 complient, but not 100% (due to not having unified shaders and whatnot)

R600 ATi's DX10 card is rumoured to be around October/November, Vista's due around January last i heard.

You remember the x1800 delay and only months later the x1900 arrived? Well its the same story. I think ATI always have one team on rehash and one team on innovative new design.

The rehash team always seem to fall behind. But this time it seems a waste unless they can get the 1950's out next month.
