When booting winxp, the bios screen doesnt show up.
It does load okay, doesnt seem to have any problems after loading.
The mobo is about 2 yrs old.
It used to load the bios screen okay. When i do a reboot,i can get into the bios by keep pressing the DEL keyboard button.
I booted up this morning, and my first screen was all black and white lines, but it booted to winxp okay,i have had that several times, when putting the comp on.
My 4870 v/c doesnt have any heat problems,or the cpu.
I have an Enermax 620 psu.
Just wondering if my mobo is failing,or the 4870 v/c?

My specs are.
ga-p35 ds3r rev2 mobo.
E6850 dual core [email protected]
2 gb crucial mem 6400fsb
ATI 4870 512mem v/c

has the splash screen option reactivated itself in the bios. This would hide pc infoo behind a logo screen. Maybe this picture file has corrupted on the mobo

no bios screen when booting

hello chaps.
There is no beeps when booting up,not even the post beep.
When booting comp, the first page i see is the screen saying what the devices IRQs have, then it goes to the microsoft screen with the dots going along, then it goes to the welcome, then desktop.
It has sometimes booted to the screen to get into bios, but i notice it has been when it has been off during the night, but it doesnt do that if i boot from hot.

On your graphics card, move the monitor cable to the other dvi port. Sometimes graphics cards are picky about which on they decide is primary and only BIOS posting screens show on the primary and so if you've plugged it into the secondary then you won't see a thing until Windows desktop.

timko.
Well i changed the port on the v/c,then rebooted, and it worked,i had the Bios posting screen.
Then after a while in windows,i rebooted, but didnt get the bios post screen.
Turned it off for a while, then back on,had the bios posting screen come up.

I have worked it out, that when i boot win up from cold,i get the post beep, and the Bios post screen.
Now when i reboot after its been on for a while, and warm,i dont get a post beep, nor do i get the Bios post screen.
Your idea was at least correct, and its enabled me to see the problem.
How to fix it,or what the problem is,i dont know, perhaps you have some idea?
Thanks.
