When can we expect 5600m laptops in UK?

Well it arrived. Running some benchmarks on it now will post them up. If anyone has any requests just ask ill do my best.

Got mine too today. Seems to be running a little hot but game shift cools it down quickly. Though it is really loud. Not tested it in games much yet but gonna test it out later/tomorrow.
Without game shift the fans don't seem to do much and it takes longer than I'd like for them to speed up. Can't see a way to adjust it myself other than turning game shift on.

Mine arrived today too. Have to say, so far I'm very impressed. It's doesn't look as ugly in person as it does in the reviews and the screen is excellent. Build quality seems decent too but the keyboard doesn't have the biggest keys for gaming.

In terms of performance and temps, it does run hot in benchmarks and in some demanding games but I can live with that. You can download a piece of software called Ryzen controller and limit the TDP of the CPU and other options to reduce temps, I'll give it a go some time.

Weirdly the GPU seems to run absolutely fine and temps hover between 60-75° so the cooling can't be too bad. In think these Ryzen chips just run hot due to the size and number of cores.

My GPU runs a lot cooler than the cpu. Glad to see everyone seems happy it’s a decent machine for the money. Just hope we don’t need Dell service as it’s meant to be shockingly awful...

I have ordered another one for a family member and on the syncron tracking it’s been “left manu facility China pending” for 3 days now. Bet they have run out.... lol

Alienware command center seems to be reporting a temp 10-20C lower than other programs so not sure which to believe but those were too high i think. They said it was getting to 90 and the fans weren't kicking in.

Hmm I haven't tried it without the game shift on which cranks up the fans automatically, I'll have to give it a go.

Also, I'm sure were supposed to get and RGB keyboard? Mine just seems to be a standard white backlit keyboard with 2 brightness settings?

I've also never been so offended by a power brick before but this one is absolutely huuuuge.

Ran Firestrike at stock and got 14400 then again on a cooler pad and it went up to 15100. Finally with cooler pad and gameshift mode enabled it went up to 16200. I'll post up actually numbers when I'm home.
It is very loud. Wasn't expecting anything but loud for a games laptop anyway but what matters is performance seems incredible for the money.

The thermal pates Dell use is meant to be awful. Replacing it with something like MX4 is meant to make a decent difference on temps. When I get the time I will more than likely do mine....

The power brick is comedy large.

I've just checked my invoice and the Dell website and it just states 'backlit keyboard'. I'm 99% sure it said RGB when I ordered. Oh well, it wasn't a feature I was relying on.
It could be under the alienware FX control. I looked up the model number and it is listed as supported for this laptop along with alienware OC but when I tried to install it gave an unsupported message.

Shadow of the tomb raider was an average of 84 fps on high using the inbuilt benchmark and didn't drop below about 70 fps. Don't think I own any newer games to check but easily as good as I'll need.

Edit:
It definitely benefits from a laptop cooler massively and tbh is needed. Not great that you have to have one but that's how it seems to be. Idling at about 40-50C now with a cheap cooler.

Anyone else not able to see CPU temp anywhere other than Alienware command centre?

I can't for the life of me see CPU temp in MSI afterburner or any other overlay software. It gives me the option in then settings to enable it but it doesn't then show in the overlay.

Same for me on my 4800U based system, Coretemp works though.

They seem to work for me but cpu ones give a higher number than alienware command centre. A number that is too high at times and went to like 110C once. Not tested enough to be sure but the gpu one seems to be the same.
Edit:
Seems msi afterburner doesn't work though. Wonder if the numbers others are getting are wrong since to me it just didn't seem correct. So maybe they don't give it due to that?

The GPU temp / clock / vram usage in afterburner seems to correlate with the Radeon Adrenalin software and Alienware command centre pretty accurately, I can't see any under reading there.

The command centre CPU teno does seem to be way lower than the temps shown on some of the reviews though so maybe it does under read.

Was that 84 fps in SoTR just at 1080p dx12 default high setting ?

If it is here is my A15 at the same setting for comparison -

Yeah it was.
Anyone with one care to confirm/deny?

Seems a gross oversight if true
Seems likely to be true considering what I was getting when playing games. Not sure if to just return it considering how hot it seems to be. Just wondering if the command centre is under reading or the other ones over reading.
