When computer shuts down, it restarts itself automatically?

Very bizarre problem that i have had for going on six months now, I have just never bothered to look into it and fix it - every time i shut down my computer, within about five seconds it instantly reboots itself and does so constantly until i flip the switch on the back of the PSU;

I have scanned the BIOS for anything that i thought could be causing it, and couldn't find anything - does anybody have any ideas?

Could be something like "Wake on LAN", so maybe have a look for that in your BIOS.

could be your front power switch, check its all plugged in firmly and then check motherboard power, always check silly little things first

I had a similar problem with 2PCs at work.
you can turn most WOL settings off if you go into:
Device Manager -> Network Card -> Power Managemant

if you untick the "allow this device to be brought out of standyby"

Although i warn you if you have any remote software installed such as LogMeIn it will automatically turn this back on after a restart!
