That they're now being interviewed as part of a house of lords inquiry into the impact of AI on creative works

When I first saw I thought it was parody, but it's real life, what a crazy world we're living in right now

I skipped through the video and don't see it doing anything but moving it's head around like a nodding dog, is it using the guy as a ventriliquist dummy and speaking through him?

As soon as it gets unleashed on social media it will turn into a racist nazi like the microsoft one did

dm was quoted/blessed on r4today.

She was even more robotic when facing the Press after her sacking of Kwasi Kwarteng. If anyone still wondered why, unlike Sunak, she refused to be interviewed by Andrew Neil and Nick Robinson during the leadership campaign, they must realise now.

Parliament got a very similar performance last week from a robot called Ai-Da, which 'spoke' to the House of Lords' Communications and Digital Committee, under the supervision of its creator, Aidan Meller. But after one question from Baroness Featherstone, the robot fell silent and appeared to stare at the floor.

Meller rushed up to Ai-Da and asked the committee: 'Can I reset her? Is that OK?' I fear the Truss-bot cannot be reset.

1hr 20 is her/its  first attempt at speaking but it shutdown so needed to be rebooted where it speaks at 1hr 26 and answers question asked

All a bit weird we're even at this stage though even if it's more novelty than seriousness in interviewing the AI

For those who cba flicking through a load of arty farry guff, here's a short version:

Tl:dw - it's a mannekin with some motors and a speaker.

Can it do.... yanno, the thing yet?

this was a good one about the misuse of AI, giving countries false confidence to make nuclear first strikes and identify the NK mobile launchers,
a bit more traumatic than Amazon/google having a non-diverse hiring strategy because historic data seeding the AI said white people were 'better' employees, or, your self drive tesla killing you.

yes great for the russian first strike (and .... for NHS to identify tumors)

transport-erector-launchers (TELs)
AI promises to increase operational tempo and decrease uncertainty in combat environments where “speed is paramount, and the fog of war persists.”50 Similar to the way Project Maven helps analyze imagery data in support of the Defeat-ISIS campaign, AI could prove decisive in a North Korea contingency by improving the ability to promptly analyze sensor data for identifying and tracking North Korea’s TEL-based nuclear force. Despite this broad and growing enthusiasm for military applications of AI—including AI-infused ISR for counterforce missions51—it is unlikely to prove revolutionary. Technical limitations prevent even AI-enabled counterforce from guaranteeing success. AI could also introduce new vulnerabilities into ISR systems for adversaries to exploit. Faulty assumptions derived from previous technological innovations, moreover, could lead decisionmakers to be overly optimistic about the improvements to counterforce yielded by AI, leading to misinformed decisions over the use of military force

Artificial Intelligence, the Final Piece to the Counterforce Puzzle?

If AI-Da is the best that artificial intelligence has to offer then I think we are safe from the promised robotic apocalypse. It's almost as if Skynet elected Liz Truzz as their leader.

I can point you in the right direction

Out of all our moderating team, only half are real, the rest are advanced AI.
