My current flavour of firefox

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1

Always takes up a fair amount of memory, and is currently on 93 560K

Is it just me or is there a problem somewhere?

To be fair, I opened 5 tabs in IE7 and it's at 62Mb....this setting may also be a useful thing to adjust :)

Sessionsaver will let you close FF then re-open it with all your tabs, etc intact. Very handy, especially if like mine your FF install decides it wants to eat RAM and CPU :)

Sessionsaver can be very unhandy at the wrong times.

Scenario: A young boy is browsing something he shouldn't be, family member walks in room wanting to use computer, the young buy hits reboot and thinks to himself everything is all good till sessionsaver brings up the previous session :o

Have you tryed minimising firefox for a few mins?
Opera sometimes has a similar problem where mem/cpu usage goes sky high, minimising it for a few mins returns it to normal for some reason.

:)
