Considering buying my wife this:

https://www.cyclestore.co.uk/specia...dMLVv44ETCe0tqcdQj5fcaAl-U8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds

But while it's the 2016 model, it's definitely been out since at least a few months of 2015 too. When are 2017 models likely to arrive? Should I be holding off either for a new one, or for a price drop of this one?

I suppose while I'm here, it makes sense to ask - should I be considering a different bike too?

Thanks for advice!

I don't think you're likely to see 2016 models reduced until winter at the earliest.

Regarding choice of bike...what do you plan to use it for?

aug is when 2017 bike companies have their launch parties for dealers, but the bikes start arriving instores from aug - may of the following year, bit crazy it sounds I know but its the same for every company ive ever dealt with.

New bike season starts from September.
Bike frame designs usually run for 4-7 years before there is a complete new look. The years in between are minor tweaks. Component changes may be significant if a new groupset is available or a new type of tech e.g. Road disc brakes.

EOL serious discount sales typically start kicking in around June, with the next year's models trickling in from around August.

It can depend on the Manufacturer - new models from the big names tend to be around for the Tour and then available September onwards - unless it's Canyon, in which case you won't actually be able to get one delivered until the following year ;)
