I've spent a fair old while reading through the various licencing informatino on Microsoft's website, but can't seem to get a definitive answer.
According to one FAQ:
But, according to the Systems lifecycle FAQ, despite Windows 7 being release on October 22 2009, the sales lifecycle hasn't ended yet, presumably because Windows 7 is doing so well?
I've emailed Microsoft but will probably have to wait ages for an answer.
