When Do Windows 7 Downgrade Rights Cease?

I've spent a fair old while reading through the various licencing informatino on Microsoft's website, but can't seem to get a definitive answer.

According to one FAQ:

Note that Windows 7 end user downgrade rights will be available through the sales lifecycle of Windows 7 which is up to two years after the launch date of a new version.

But, according to the Systems lifecycle FAQ, despite Windows 7 being release on October 22 2009, the sales lifecycle hasn't ended yet, presumably because Windows 7 is doing so well?

I've emailed Microsoft but will probably have to wait ages for an answer.

According to here the life cycle has not been determined yet. But going off previous results you could expect it to be 1year after Win8 will be released.
