With prices currently insane just now for GPU's. When do you plan to upgrade your GPU? Do you plan to do it soon or not for a long time? Are you waiting for prices to come down? Have you given up on PC Gaming altogether due to the silly prices and jumping ship back to consoles? Are you sticking with PC?

Personally, i'm waiting until 2020/21 before i upgrade. By that time HDMI 2.1 GPU's will be available, 4K will be more affordable and displays will be better quality, plus there will hopefully be GPU's at sane prices to drive 4K.

I'm not going to kid myself on, going back to consoles isn't an option. I'm just waiting on the tech to mature before upgrading.

I bought a 1080 in January this year. I'm hoping it will still be relevant to late 2019, maybe even late 2020. I'm playing at 2560x1080 and can't see that changing any time soon either.

I have a 290 that I bought on release, I still only game at 1080p 60hz but I do mostly play VR titles now, amazingly the 290 hasn’t skipped a beat in VR despite it being the minimum requirement. I do want to play my ‘pancake’ games on 4K eventually, But I’ll only upgrade when a GPU can handle 4K properly that releases around the £350 mark

My 1080 will last me probably till 2019-2020 but I'll probably change my 3440x1440 monitor before then as I think it's on its way out. I don't usually keep graphics cards that long before I upgrade but now I'm a poor apprentice I got to careful with the pennies.

When my 980ti cannot keep the pace is when I will upgrade, the only drawback with this is the 980 will be worth next to nothing by then. But you cannot have it both ways.
Unless I find a cheap 1080 ti but than is not likely

I upgrade with each generation usually. If there is only a minor increase in performance I would miss a generation but the last change from 9xx to 10xx was significant so I upgraded a few months back. I never upgrade when they first come out, always wait a bit for hardware and drivers to stabilise. My upgrade philosophy is that I am not upgrading for performance so much as I am upgrading to keep the PC's current. I have three PC's at home and whenever I buy anything new for the main ( games ) PC then I hand the old stuff on to the older PC's. But even them I buy new cases and so on for them to ensure they are kept pristine. I even upgrade CPU coolers and so on to keep them all running as good as possible!

I have a GTX 1080 that I bought recently after my GTX 970 gave up the ghost.

I have an Oculus Rift on the way and a 1440p monitor. When it can't do the job of running games on these then I'll upgrade.

But I do keep an eye on the used GPU prices. If I can shift my GTX 1080 for a reasonable price I will happily upgrade to the next gen nVidia cardd

When prices come back down to earth. If they ever do.

My GTX 970 will do me for a few more years yet, especially as games are still mostly built around console specs., which the 970 still exceeds by far.

My best gaming this year has been on the PS4 Pro.

If graphics cards prices never return to reasonable value, then I'll just hold out for the PS5 in 2019/2020.

2021/2022 now. The 1080Ti’s will have to earn their keep!

I’ve spent a lot of money on my PC’s and now it’s time to stop for a bit. I’m now happy with it anyway, so all good.

Money will be going on some motorbikes now !

1060 6gb right now... seriously considering a 1070TI or a 1080 but the quality of games coming out versus the cost to upgrade the card just isnt quite convincing me its £400+ well spent. Its only because I bought a 1440p 144mhz monitor I'm even considering it as the 1060 was fine at 1080p!

When my Fury Nitro either cant run the games I want to play or it fails. Until then I have no interest what so ever at the current prices. I might even just do a 1080P build for the TV next time and sell off my dedicated gaming PC and monitor, depends on the room available in the next house

I don't see me upgrading for quite a long time because, at the moment at least, there are no signs that I need more performance, I can't really afford another high-end card right now, and finally, the high prices.

I also hope to make this the longest-serving card I've had. Another few months and it will overtake my old Voodoo 5500 AGP 64mb (I had that for around 2.5 years).

In fact, come to think of it, I'm really pleased I bought the 980Ti when I did. Such a great card.
