I have got a feedback of over 400 and had very little problems with ebay over the years.

However i purchased an item in January, which basically was the wrong part. I complained sent them them 10s of photos and eventually they agree that if i sent back the item Id get a refund. Item was sent back recorded.

After waiting and asking politely, i put in a complaint to ebay. they promised to look into it within 72 hours...that was 3 weeks ago.

Its only £20 but its the principal of it, dont like feeling like Im ripped off.

Is this normal to wait so long? Shall I try paypal?

Did they send you the wrong part, or did you buy the wrong thing?
Certanly not, it was advertised as fitting my model but did not - I persevered and sent them many photos to show that the product was faulty.

Do you actually contact the seller first? I am a business seller on eBay and nothing gets my back up more than this being the first contact I get when there is a problem.
I contacted them, waited a few days and called them, then they asked me to email photos, then more photos, then they lost them so more photos a week later and then they refused to send a replacement and told me to send it back at my cost, which I sent by recorded.

Am I lucky to have never had a problem before? I did expect more support and 72 hours > 3 weeks is a joke...the public sector this isnt!
