When I switch off my PC, it restarts sometimes?

Hi all,

Having an issue with my PC, when I click shut down, on many an occasion it restarts, sometimes switching off again at the log in screen results in another restart.

Any idea what can be causing this?

4770K (stock)
Asus XZ87 VI Gene
Patriot memory 8gb (2x4) 2400MHz
Samsung 840 Pro
MSI TwinFrozr HD-7950
Seasonic X-650 psu
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Tried clearing the CMOS?

presumably youd know if the power button press was being randomly detected during normal use. unless your power button press during os was set to do nothing? just wondering if there is a short/loose connection on the power button.
