when its on a llu dsl line that was syncing fine at 13mb for 12+ months that now can just sync at 4 mb ....

Damm ofcom/openreach smoke and mirrors definitions of what is a faulty line.ISP says nothing they can do as the line syncs at an average of >30% of the predicted maximum over a 24 hr period

done all that tried a different router etc etc :( isp reset the profile will not sync above about 4.5mb target s/n ratio now at 12db instead of the previous 6 .

Line sync had been rock solid at 13.5 mb give or take a little for 12 + months till sunday evening when dsl disconnected and refused to resync on a 6db profile could not even hold a 7mb line sync. Phone ISP they reset profile to 15 db line syncs at about 4 mb , they then run 2 24 hr line tests during which the line averages a touch over 4 mb , to which they then say its unlikely they will be able to raise a fault to openreach due to the line being just under the magical 30% of max theroretical sync speed for the length .

Just stupidly annoying that they will not class a 60% drop in line performance on what was a rock solid line as a fault.

just annoying as hell that they hide behind smoke and mirrors to say there isn't a fault when there was such a drastic drop off in performance , even going as far as re estimating my max line speed so it became lower so the current line speed was then above the magical 30% marker
