When is Kentfield Being Released ?

Hello all, im holding back from my upgrade to Conroe, mainly because my 4400 X2 Clocked to 2805 is quick enough and i realy don't think i will see any difference if i upgrade.


The Intel Quad Core Chip kentfield should be much faster than my current chip, and i know other people on these forums are waiting for them


Anyone know when they will be shipping these ?

I've heard that it will be near the end of this year. Don't think a date has been released yet.

Same here way I see it if 4 cpus arent gonna run stuff fast enuff nothing else will

Its due this fall, shame Mac pro has managed to release quadcore before Pc.....

Hopefully by November/December quadcore appears and when Vista arrives it will be in full flow.

December launch IIRC. Don't expect it to be under £400+ as its a server chip. Add two Conroes together and add 20% and you've got your price TBH.

I might be wrong tho...
