When is the X2 4600+ Coming Out?

They are already, they were released with all the other X2's. They must be on pre order because they are waiting for new stock?

Sorry you must be on about the AM2 ones

Hi mate, me again.

As I said in your spec thread, the E6300 is no slouch and is easier to fit into your budget. If you overclock the E6300 to 2.4GHz (which can be done quite easily) it will more or less be equivalent to an AMD FX62 (2.8GHz).

Having said that, the 4600+ is no slouch either and can also be overclocked (but it is far more expensive to fit into your budget).

I encourage you to go for the E6300 :)

I know its hard to predict, but what you thik that Conroe could clock to on stock cooling? With ease, as a prediction - im sort of going towards Conroe because of its Cache. Just need to decide on a spec.. :(

K.I.T.T. managed to get 2.8GHz out of his E6300 using the stock cooler (click)

I think 2.4GHz should be quite easy to achieve with any E6300 even with the stock cooler (bit noisy though).

What cooler you recon i should get for it? Because i want to minimize noise too....

Should we take this back to GD £800 spec one or?
