I need some DDR1 500Mhz. The only kinds I can find are those brands that don't say what the CL or other timings are. One brand I'm looking at is "A-Data".

Are the timings with those so much worse that it's better to get a better brand 400Mhz DDR1 and just run the RAM slower than clock speed? This would be installed with a P4 with which the FSB will likely go above 200Mhz.

I'm dusting off some old crunchers to get them crunching DC again.

Thanks

Why mess with outdated components?

Edit
I'm putting the old hw that I used to OC with years ago back into order to do DC crunching again. Only a few pieces missing to get them all crunching and hopefully also OC'd reasonably.
