Its a serious question, came up bad in my last move to here, wont go into it, but the neighbours make my life a misery :( Its not a bad area, different stuff, not the usual chav noise, violence or otherwise ... just fruitcakes left and right, one that lodged a hate campaighn against me since I refused her lonely invites of cups of tea's each day and drivel chat ... lonely I think, very sad.

Looking at RightMove the popular property web site, and others, there is no way to filter out nuisance neighbours ... there should be IMHO.

Its not a massive problem i admit, most folk can get on, but its just that I've been a bit unlucky with fruitcake neighbours and at my age now of 64 only want to do one last move before I retire for good and enjoy my golden years.

Short of touring a prospective new place to move, you cant exactly go knocking at neighbours doors and say, see that house over there? I'm considering buying it, are the immediate neghbours going to be OK in your experience? No that couldnt possibly work.

Its just a gamble I guess?

Its a nightmare, but current neighbour, anything is better ... Trust me.

I Shall update soon, Police getting involved now with my crazy current madhat neighbour too now ... But I'd be best gone from these here hills and to pastures new ASAP Me thinks ... not good, thanks for advice guys

Final note, thanks all ... it seems there is no perfect way to guarantee good neighbours in life.

I have been extremely unlucky in life, in that my last house was amongst chavs of the worst kind and when I moved to this area some 15 or so years ish ago, was plagued by this horrible old, eccentric lonely Lady inviting me in for cups of tea from day 1 ... felt duty obliged at first I suppose, but OMG, it was just gossip city, ... it was like, "see those people over there, they are Romanians" ... and "what do you think of Derek at number 12" ... the woman is quite mad IMHO, but soon I made excuses for not going for her Cuppa invites, and made polite excuses ... and ever since she has spat venom at me and tried to make my life a misery to the best of her mad ability ... she trys to play the victim, but is clearly unhinged ... sadly her behaviour has escalated again where she accosts my Asda and Tesco grocery delivery drivers demanding to know what I say about her ... Its nonsense, I just wish she never existed and wish I had never moved here now ... honestly.

As I say Police are involved now, but I fear its just going to get worse now once the dust settles, because society favour old eccentric Woman over guys like me that just want a quite life with no hassle.

This horrible old lady has made my life a misery for far to long and I've had enough.

Looking to move soon though, all advice taken onboard, and thanks for helpful hints ... I cant be unlucky three moves in a row, can I?
