when plugging in card reader xp sees two drives

having a problem with windows xp. when i plug in my camera or casd reader windows sees it as two drives. used the same usb and it only sees one with my hard drive but two with these devices and wont let me access either drive and get my photo,s. only been happening recently. have not installed any new software. cheers in advance.

Its meant to do that, my card reader has 4 different letters, one for each slot

but the camera does also and it still won,t let me access any of the photos. camera never used to so as two drives.
