I would not be surprised if absolutely none of that was true.I'm going to wait. There should be a two tier leap at least. So 4050 matches 3070 perf. 4060 matches 3080 perf. etc.
A 4060 is guaranteed to be cheaper than a 3080 and use less power.

Hard to predict now, especially if AMD are taking a different route, no-one knows how good that will be. My bet is pretty good, why else would Nvidia, allegedly increase power draw so much?I would not be surprised if absolutely none of that was true.
the power draw stuff will be foe thr 4090 so its the fastest they can make i bet, as well as be the fastest card by a good margin. maybe just trying to take out the risk that the next top end amd card gets too close.Hard to predict now, especially if AMD are taking a different route, no-one knows how good that will be. New generation cards are what, 3-4 months or so away?https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-grap...r500-today-but-msrps-wont-change-permanently/ saw this thought id post it here, tho as article said, new cards coming and might be faster and same price as today.
Prices still well above launch MSRP of £649.99 for RTX 3080 10GB can't see this changing anytime soon despite the positive price decreases across the pond, so I'm still out for the time being.

Crypto winter brings plummeting GPU prices
Oh dear, how sad, never mindFalling crypto prices are causing GPU prices to drop below MSRP across the board. Basically, the crypto miners are not buying new GPUs, at least in China making the prices of used graphics card prices fall by 50 per cent recently.Companies like Asus have seen demand...www.fudzilla.com
Ethereum miners wasted $15 billion on hardware over the past 18 months!
Nvidia's gaming revenue for the same period is $18.58 billion. Even after accounting for the scalping miners had a tremendous impact.![]()

Wada ya mean, those GPU's were put to good use solving complex algorithms.. now they are a good space filler, no one likes empty corners in their work environment.
I dread to think just how extra CO2 was generated for all that mining.![]()

When you can buy it, currently "pre-order".So the new king of the hill for value is clearly the RX 6700 then.
